We do our best to ensure that data posted on a company is true and accurate. Angie’s List maintains a number of checks and balances so that reviews we receive from our members are truthful. In fact, we have an entire department dedicated to looking at every single review and checking for red flags. They stay very busy!
In addition to our full time department:
- Reviews can’t be submitted anonymously - every report must have an author so that we can ensure accountability for what is written.
- Members can only report on a company once every six months because we don’t want members “stacking the deck” in favor of a particular company.
- Companies can respond to reviews to ensure our members have the opportunity to understand both sides of the story.
A good part of our success stems from the fact that the information we provide is easy to understand and reliable. We understand that consumers are busier than ever, so leave it to us to do the fact checking for you and provide the most current, true and accurate data we can.
