Re: Angie's List keeps calling my house

Here is the reply to my email to them regarding their phone "survey" and their incessant calling my house over the weekend.  As you can see, this company is in dire straits in that members do not populate the list, so they violate do not call lines under the guise of "surveys", which they then use to go to market to companies to hype coupons.  It's like the Welcome Wagon.  I am done.  cancelled. We'll see how long it takes to get my money refunded.

A moderator has yet to respond to my post here.  No surprise.

Thanks for contacting us through our Suggestion Box, and I'm terribly sorry we didn't get to it sooner.  There is a little bit of a delay for messages that come through our Suggestion Box than when members email us directly.  This is why we responded to your email already, and we're just now getting your "suggestion."

Again, I apologize for this delay, and I am sorry that you found our telesurvey ridiculous.  In order to keep Angie's List as relevant and helpful as it is, we rely on members' feedback regarding their service experiences. In today's busy society, we also understand that it is difficult for most people to find the time to sit down and reflect on their service experiences, put their thoughts on paper, and then submit them to us.

For this reason, we've started calling members just to ask about their service experiences. By spending just a couple of minutes on the phone with our members, we are able to add more reports to Angie's List, which in turn helps our members! If we had not taken the time to contact our members, we might not have gotten this valuable consumer information.

I sincerely apologize that you found our proactive manner to obtain members' reports ridiculous. We do not mean to be annoying, and I am sorry if we were.  Upon receiving your email, we have removed your information from our list of members to contact in the future.

We do greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on our telesurvey with us. Though I am truly sorry for any inconvenience and irritation you've experienced.
