I am considering installing a Mr. Slim ductless air-conditioning unit in the soon-to-be-finished loft of my home in Indianapolis. The loft was originally unfinished, and the builder did not run ductwork to this portion of the house. I have been told that the current air conditioning unit is not really large enough to cool the additional space. I have also spoken with other homeowners who have finished lofts and have been told that even with original ductwork the room is very hard to cool and needs a supplemental source. Mr. Slim sounds like the perfect solution, and too good to be true; so I am hoping someone out there has personal experience with this product and would be willing to share their thoughts - good and bad.
