I have to re-roof my shed. I think the roof is actually leaking and I've neglected the thing for too long. So I headed over to Lowes to purchase 9 bundles of cheap-o shingles along with 6 pounds of aluminum roofing nails and drip-edge thingees. When I was loading the bundles onto the cart there was a slight mildew smell because of some dampness between the bundles, but I didn't think anything of it. I got the load of stuff home and piled up beside the shed and then went to work. When I opened the second bundle, water poured out the corner! I suspect it's more than one bundle that's saturated, but is this a bad thing? I don't want to cart all those shingles back to Lowes to get my money back if it's not a problem, especially since I have 31/2 rows completed. I mean, the shingles are going to eventually get wet anyway, so what's the big deal? Still, it worries me. Anyone have any advice?
