My condo association requires contractors who do work on common
elements (that includes windows, plumbing, electric...) to show that
they have workers compensation.This raises several questions for me: Is
this a common requirement and is it justified? What are the legal
requirements (in Illinois) for workers compensation? Does the
requirement of the condo association go above and beyond what is
legally required?
