Any products out on the market that really work? Anything we can mix up on our own here at home?

Question 2: How do we get them to stop peeing outside of their litter boxes?

Question 3: After we pull up the carpeting and padding, is there anything we should do to the hardwood floor underneath such as using a vinegar solution or some other solution to make sure that all cat urine smell and traces are completely 100% gone? Should we reseal the hardwood floor after cleaning it and before recarpeting?

Question 4: Is getting rid of my beloved cats the only real solution?

We are at our wits end.

labradoodles

I am looking for a large labradoodle that is currently in Hawaii.

mobile cat grooming in the Brandon Florida area

Does anyone know of any cat groomers who will come to your home. I have 2 cats and my neighbor has one we would like to have all three cats groomed monthly. I live in the Brandon Florida area.

Thanks

Night time veterinary care

Does anyone know of a veterinary faciilty in the Toledo, Ohio area that offers nighttime care for pets? This gets very pricey so I explored my options. If you purchase these items from your vet they are the most expensive. I found a site online (PetCareChoice.com) that is considerably cheaper especially with a generic option for heartguard. I thought you might want to check it out for yourselves.

kitty got hit by car

About noon today were on the porch a little kitten came up to the porch with a broken leg. called valley animal vet in auburn mich was informed that we could put the office bill on a credit card from the place there. We got there, different story, There was a lady that was there buying dog food and said i will pay the 80.00 for u guys and the lady at the desk said we will have to wait to see what it is goig to cost then the lady wispered in the front desks receptionist ear call me and ill pay for it she said i will i will call you and let you know if she is going to be ok. she said ok then the cupple gave the cat to the nurse and then went with the check up. After the docter saw the compond fracture on leg or hip the first part was over and the party that brought the cat ask the front desk if she would call the lady to help pay for the cat to be put to sleep or if she wanted to adopt the cat or at least let the cupple talk to her they were told that it was unethacal and she would not do it so the cupple that had no money had to wait even longer to put the cat to sleep so. I took them back w/in the 2 week period BUT brought them home when i found it was not a "no kill" shelter cuz they are so bad when they're bad & it's double trouble.

When i had some people gut some of my basement d/t flooding, in a house i bought--i had them make a hinged "door" at bottom of basement steps, so when i'm gone &/or they're bad--they go to the "dungeon". I have even sent them for a week to the other house (not sold yet), w/my daughter, cuz their driving me crazy.I even half jokingly asked the vet the last time there if she'd put them on something to settle them down. She said they'll settle SOME after they're altered. I said, they better settle ALOT!!!!!

My most IMMEDIATE question is RE; spay/nueter and de-clawing.

 1) My vet prefers it be done @ same time so they're only under surgery/anesthesia once. She say's they'll get homegoing pain medication for the de-clawing.. This sounds ok to me.

2) Is anyone familiar use of Lazar vs Surgical removal of claws

3) De-claw fronts OR all 4 paws

I am aware of stories that some cats behaviors changed for worse after de-clawing..My sister-in-law had to put hers down cuz it wouldn't use litter box anymore & i forgot why else re: its behavior.

I am afraid that if they don't "settle" after alteration , that i cant let them be "outdoor" kitties (not that i want to---especially since i live in high traffic street in large development & the cats that keep coming & spraying around my house are HUGE, like 25lbs), if i also got them de-clawed @ same time..

Need opinions/experiences ASAP---I don't want any more kitties Or the boy to start spraying---I am going to make an apointment for @ least them being altered hopefully by this Friday

THANX************LUCY*******************************

Any opinions/experiences? Please respond asap--i don't want any more kitties!!!!!

car trip with cats

We are moving 500 miles and will have 2 cats in the car. The cats have never been farther than the vet's office. Anyone have experience with keeping cats happy on the road?

grooming shop

i just opened a dog grooming shop in stoughton ma call me 1-781-297-DOGS

pets and new flooring

Hi,

I'm just wondering what kind of experience people have with flooring and pets. We're getting rid of our carpet and investigating ceramic tile. We have two dogs and two cats and are trying to decide what will wear the best. Any ideas?

zhinka

Horsebackriding lessons/training

In Carmel and Fishers area, lessons for dressage up to 2nd level, beginner to advanced students.

Animals are Soul Too

Have you read the book? "Animals are Soul Too" by Harold Klemp

a good read for us animal lovers

My cat eats plastic bags. Anybody else encounter this kitty quirk?

Plastic Food and Water Dishes Pose Potential Health Threat?

According to my vet, plastic feeding bowls can leach toxins harmful to our pets. This past year, she told me about two cats with small pus-filled scabs under their chins. She was only 7 years old. We have a dog named Shelby and an old cat named Chloe, and have recently adopted a one year old orange tabby (just like Harli) on Dec 23rd. The vet's office was calling her Sally, but she does not look like a Sally at all. We usually just let the name come to us, and the names have pretty much been on the mark. We got Harli when she was about 10 weeks old, and she could not have been anything other than a Harli. She was full of willful attitude, spiteful vengeance, and Evil Knievel like devil-may-care stunts. Shelby is faster and more beautiful than the car she is named after, and Chloe is a total damsel and Southern lady as her name suggests. But this cat... I just don't know. I have accidentally called her Sunny, which I still do not think fits, and Hailey, which I am sort of getting attached to. I am not sure of either one. Hailey is very close to Harli, but it was because I was thinking she looked like a Bailey. We can't name her Bailey because our niece has the same name, so I came up with Hailey. Any other suggestions for a fun-loving, laid back cat that loves large dogs? I should decide by Jan 10th because she is being microchipped then.
Cat Toilet Training

I am toilet training my 20 lbs. orange tom cat, Erik. We are using the City Kitty method (combined in part with the Mingus method). Has anyone else tried this task?

I can tell you ONE thing... cats are pretty possessive about their litter tray, and if your cat is indoor/outdoor like Erik, this does complicate things a bit. He's been holding it since we moved his catbox next to the toilet, the little stinker.

Cat's eating too fast

Has anyone had this problem? Our cat's seem to eat too fast at times and then throw up. We switched to the foods they are less likely to throw up from - a little canned and mostly dry, and specific brands. We feed them only a little at a time which seems to help. We also put ping pong balls in their feeding dishes to slow them down on the dry food. I've never had this problem with my other cat. We don't leave food in the dishes as they would eat too much.
