    bathroom ceiling fan with light

My ceiling fan in my masterbathroom seems to be on its last leg. When i flip the switch it takes  a few seconds for the fan to come on. Lately it doesn't stay at full speed when on. Are these hard to replace? do I need to change it from the attic? Trying to do this myself any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't get out much but I've never heard of a ceiling fan in a bathroom.  I'm not sure the motor is designed to handle the moisture.  Myself, I would remove it and forget about a ceiling fan in the bathroom.  ( it is probably secured to a junction box with two screws like a light fixture.)

I'm sure you're meaning a "Ceiling Mounted" exhaust fan. Depending what model you have, it might be able to be replaced from the bathroom side. I replaced a couple of mine this way. I still had to purchase a new fan complete with the rough in box, but being it was the same model, I was able to remove the cover, unplug the fan (yes the plug is right there above the cover for the I have) pull the old motor and fan out, snap the new one in and plug it in - all done. Do you have a picture of it?

I hope he meant the exhaust fan in which case, yeah, he needs to fix it.
