    Hilltop/SB Mortgage

    Hi There,

I am working with a mortgage broker, and I am wondering if anyone else has any experience with them. I'm a little skittish as I am a first time home buyer. I've done a ton of fee negotiation with the broker and its all gone well and they've reduced alot of fees. I just worry that there will be a 'gotcha' moment at some point, like at the closing. My instincts are that this is a good broker but you can never be too careful. They aren't in "the list" but I plan to add them if possible if I have a good experience after closing. The only red flag at this point is they don't want to use my own attorney, and I heard almost all brokers will do that.

May be they are too cautious about the deal.Unless and otherwise you see any startling change in their approach towards the deal, there is no need to press the panic button.

I am thinking about becoming a mortgage broker, but have no experience. If I took some classes and got a license, how hard would it be for me to find work..?
