  • Re: small area of water damage - who do I call?

I am not a plumber nor do I play one on TV! I would suggest a plumber first. It could be a simple leak within the wall pipe coming into the bathroom. If you have a cinder block exterior or brick wall below grade, water could be seeping in. Check the wall from the outside, dig down below grade to check. A good dryloc product or hydrolic cement ...

  • Above All Construction - Indianapolis/Greenwood, IN

Has anyone used this company before?  I am possibly going to use them to do some roofing work.  Any positive or negative feedback would be greatly appreciated.  They handle insurance claim work.

  • Hallowell Acadia Heat Pump

Is anyone familiar with the Hallowell Acadia heat pump system? We live in CT and currently have an oil furnace with baseboards. • Tipping etiquette

Hi. Can anyone advise on etiquette for tipping contractors? What is the common practice? I'm getting my apartment painted and I'm not sure if I should be giving an additional tip equivalent to a certain percentage of the total service bill. Thanks in advance.

  • Multiple Locations?

We own our house here in Northern Virginia and also own a house in Denver that we rent.  I looked on the FAQ to learn if I would have access to the Angie's List contractors ratings in both cities if I joined but did not find an answer to that question.  It is 9:15 PM here in DC and apparently the Angie's List offices on the West ...

  • Contractor etiquette and courtesy

Hi all! I'm working on the next episode of the Angie's List podcast, "List-en up!". It's about etiquette from the member/customer's viewpoint, and I'd like to interview you ASAP if you'd like to talk to me about rude, inconsiderate contractors and service providers. I've heard a few stories already about ...
